Mav has been a regular poster in our forums and he himself is an MC. We
thought what better than to feature our very own for the first local artist
interview / bio section.
A little about Him:
Mav was born into the world listening to hip hop. At a
young age he has seen it go from only a few to universal. Born and Raised on the
south side of Chicago and through emceeing has elevated the game like the L.
Where is he from?
Chicago but now residing in Phoenix, AZ.
Signed or affiliated with a label?
He is with the Illumanadi Empire & with his crew in
Chicago, 500 nations.
Where can Mav be spotted?
He has performed at places like the Mason Jar, Blunt Club,
Macayos, Tucson, Chicago and every house party that lets him rock the mic.
HHJ: Where Do
you see yourself in five years in terms of your career?
Mav:
I'll have at least five albums out no matter if I have to put them all out
independent. With the receptions I have been getting its only a matter of time
before we turn a crack into a canyon.
HHJ: What is the single most important thing you
have learned from your
experience as being an MC?
Mav: patience. yeah I can freestyle a whole album
but for me to put my heart in my craft its takes time. just like the album
process.
HHJ: Alright, well we would like to wish you the

A little about the album:
The album will be a chronicle of my journey from Chicago
to Arizona. It will tell almost everything that I have faced over these last
five years. Speaking on my beliefs, mind states, environments, and everything
necessary to bring you into my world.

also have an arizona hip hop all star volume 1 cd available thru my website or
if u see me in the streets. Also the 500 nations album will be out sometime late
