 Irv Gotti Surrenders To Feds
At approximately 11:30am EST today, Gotti, accompanied by his attorney Gerald Lefcourt, surrendered to authorities in Manhattan. The Inc boss, wearing a simple blue-hooded snorkel coat and jeans, appeared defiant as he was escorted hand-cuffed by a team of six federal agents. His brother Chris was escorted in handcuffs by a separate FBI team.
As reported previously, Gotti is facing federal racketeering and conspiracy charges, drug trafficking and money laundering. Back in April, the Feds attempted to indict Gotti for allegedly running a million-dollar tax evasion scheme through Murder Inc. and his relationship with drug-kingpin, Kenneth McGriff. McGriff, who is currently in jail, will face charges in connection with three murders.
"It's just unfortunate that this investigation has constantly been dragging him through the mud," said Gotti's attorney. "Ultimately, he will be vindicated."
