 Ja Rule Involved in Altercation
At Peoria, Illinois' Club Ignition, Ja was reportedly standing near the dance floor conversing with party-goers when a person approached and threw a drink at him. A fight broke out on the floor, but the melee was broken up before police arrived on the scene. Minutes later, shots rang out in the club's stairwell entrance -causing the crowd to rush out in panic.
Police later found club patron and Peoria resident Marshall Payton was shot and with a small-caliber bullet wound to his left hip. Payton claims he didn't notice he was shot until after he left the party. He was taken to OSF Saint Francis Medical Center. According to doctors, the bullet didn't result in any major damage and wasn't removed from his leg.
Trouble continues to find Ja and The Inc. Last week, Rule was hit with a lawsuit for allegedly trashing a woman's Miami mansion while filming a 2001 episode of MTV Cribs. Furthermore, The Inc's bookkeeper and Rule's manager were both indicted and charged with money laundering in recent months.
