*Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the creators of Comedy Central's animated series "South Park," have called Puffy's "Vote or Die" campaign "a serious danger to democracy."
"If you don't know what you're talking about, there's no shame in not voting," said Stone, whose teamed with Parker for the movie "Team America: World Police," which hits theaters next Friday
Parker adds, "Hey, 19-year-old who doesn't know anything -- you choose!"
A spokesman for Diddy said in response: "Because of the work that Sean 'P. Diddy' Combs has done, voter registration is up 250 percent. Anybody that thinks voting is dangerous for a democracy is a fool."
Meanwhile, celebrities who have signed on to endorse Diddy's "Vote or Die" campaign include Mya, Leonardo DeCaprio, Alicia Keys, 50 Cent, Ellen DeGeneres, Pharrell, Yoko, Jimmy Fallon, Mariah Carey, Usher, Nelly, Paris Hilton, Queen Latifah, Russell Simmons, Ludacris, Lil' Jon, Naomi Campbell, Jamie Foxx, Mary J Blige, and Matthew Lillard. |
