 DMX Pleaded Guilty
Earl "DMX" Simmons pleaded guilty to reckless endangerment and driving while drugged on valium in Queens yesterday in connection with an incident that occurred at New York's Kennedy airport this past June. X first crashed into a tollgate before he and friend Jackie Hudgins impersonated federal agents and began chasing another driver. Police arrived on the scene as X and Hudgins were arguing with the driver and attempting to steal his car. His 1998 Ford Expedition was also equipped with unauthorized sirens and lights.
Though he initially refused a plea bargain, yesterday X accepted a guilty plea and escaped a two-year prison term. He must now pay $1,000 fine and give up his Ford Expedition.
Just as he was leaving the premises, X ran into more trouble. The Yonkers rapper was hit with a paternity lawsuit in the lobby of the courthouse and must now appear in Erie County Family Court January 19th for allegedly fathering the child of Buffalo resident, Davita Oden. The boy, Jada Simone Oden will reportedly turn 4 years old on December 26th. The child's mother couldn't be reached for comments.
